Rhea County Fair
There will be Concessions throughout the fair. The 4H and Fair Concessions will include the traditional hamburgers and hotdogs. Other
fair foods and items will be available from independent vendor booths. If you are interested in becoming a vendor,
The Lanny Mauldin Chili Cookoff will be held on Saturday Aug 22nd, at 9 am. Pre-Registration is required. Judging will be at noon,

The Antique Tractor Show and Parade will be held throughout the fair. Tractors will arrive on opening day. For registration and
The 7th annual Fairest of the Fair Pageant, Jr Fairest of the Fair Pageant, and Young Miss Pageants will be held on Tuesday
Aug 18th. Pageants will begin at 6 pm and be held on the main stage located on the fairgrounds. A $1000 college scholarship
will be awarded to the 2015 Fairest of the Fair. Categories are;
Young Miss 12-14,
Jr Miss 15-17, Fairest of Fair 18-20
The Rhea County Fair Lady Pageant will be held on Thursday August 20, at the fairground. Pageant will begin at 6pm
on the main stage.
4H Livestock Shows

If it has tires, had tires, or would look good with tires, show it off on Saturday, August 22nd. Registration
begins at 9 am, Trophies for top 25. Music, games, door prizes, and concessions will be available.
An open Horse Shoe Tournament will be held on Saturday Aug 22nd.
The 4H Air Rifle Shooting Gallery will be in operation during the fair. All patrons are invited to participate. Shooters 12 and under
must be accompanied by an adult.
The Rhea County Fair will celebrate "Old Timers Day" on Saturday Aug 22nd, with a portrayal of the rural and agricultural traditions
of East Tennessee and the Tennessee Valley. If you have an exhibit that demonstrates the pioneering heritage of our forefathers, we
would love to have you come set up at the fair.
Fair Exhibit halls will be open each day during the fair. For information on exhibit categories, applications, and rules,
Music and Entertainment is always a big part of our fair. This year will be no exception as we welcome local performers
to our stage each day. A "pickin porch" will be held all day Saturday, so bring your strings and sing.
